Artist Biography

Allison McGovney is an artist and creative living and working in Columbus, OH. She graduated in 2020 from Columbus College of Art & Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. While attending CCAD she was a recipient of both the Pamela Workman Prize for Painting and the CCAD/Pilchuck Glass School Partner Scholarship. Since graduating she has been a recipient of the Greater Columbus Arts Council Individual Artist Grant, and has been featured by the Ohio Arts Council and Matter News for her local work in the arts. She currently works out of a studio in 400 West Rich in the Franklinton Arts District. She has exhibited work in multiple recognized Columbus galleries including The Mansion 731 and All People Arts. When she’s not making a mess in her studio or working on stained glass windows, you might find her writing bad comedy, cooking vegan food with her partner, or playing with her insane cats.
